The Carrot Rum Spiced Smoothie is my pick! I don’t normally see rum drinks made with carrots so it sounds interesting.
I grew up drinking carrot drink with either rum and/or “red label wine” in Jamaica. So why not in a smoothie? It’s delicious and you will love it.
I love making mango smoothie but never with green mangoes! I want to try for a twist in taste.
They all seem like really great smoothie recipes. I’ve only had a handful of smoothies in my life, as I rarely buy fresh fruit and vegetables. Does blitzing the fruit and vegetables mean the body can break down the sugars faster, like how oranges are better for you than than orange juice?
Unwanted Life, this is a great question. Sugar (fructose) is one of the nutrition components of fruits and vegetables. They are also loaded with vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. Blending then increases the surface area and helps with the bioavailability of most nutrients and consequent better absorption. Smoothies are a great way to include a large number of fruits and vegetables in a liquified form. Bear in mind, everyone’s digestive system is different.
I love smoothies especially for summer time. I would totally try out the mango smoothie.
