5.
Restaurants in Pompano Beach.
Food enthusiasts will be delighted by the diverse and tantalizing culinary offerings that Pompano Beach has to offer.
From fresh seafood straight from the ocean to international flavors and local favorites, there’s something for every palate.
Indulge in mouthwatering cuisine at waterfront and local restaurants, where breathtaking views accompany your meal.

Baresco is a Mexican restaurant and bar located on Pompano Boulevard, across from the beach. The waitress stated that the restaurant opened in about 2 months.
Baresco’s ambiance is fantastic, but the food is much better. Their Hamburguesitas Con Queso (brisket and short rib patties sandwiched between a soft challah bun) and Lime Roasted Potatoes were both delicious.
The Food Explora in me had to give them a shot. For drinks, I tried their Frozen Mango Margarita and the Dulce De Leche Expresso Martini for the first time. They were refreshing for the warm weather.

Lucky Fish Restaurant is a lovely seaside restaurant on Pompano Boulevard, right next to the Pompano Fisher Family Pier.
Nothing beats dining on the beach while overlooking the ocean and experiencing the cool sea breeze. As a result, this is perhaps my favorite restaurant in the Pompano Beach area.
One intriguing fact I discovered from the waiter was that the table lights, as seen in the photo, were all lighted red to keep sea turtles from entering the restaurant.
You should try their Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos with mango salsa. Their Surfside Cheesesteak was tender and flavorful. The fries, on the other hand, were a flop.
The frozen Passionfruit Margarita was very sweet but refreshing. If you visit the area, then Lucky Fish is worth a try.

If you happen to take the Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi and hop off at stop # 6 (Fort Lauderdale Beach), you can enjoy a meal at Con Murphy’s Ocean Bar and Grill.
They describe their restaurant as an Irish Pub experience with an American flare.
The stunning ocean view from the restaurant’s second floor was what drew me in.
It was a very hot day, so a frozen drink was the order of the day. After sending back the Lemon Pepper Wings twice, they finally got it right. Who knew someone could mess up chicken wings?
The fried calamari was ok. I have had better. But the ocean views made up for the food.

I am always wary of trying raw sushi. This is my first experience with sushi at the Sushi Runner Restaurant.
The Food Explora in me had to try it. The waiter was quite helpful in directing me to cook sushi.
She recommended the Caribbean Roll, which was prepared with cream cheese, avocado, asparagus, and rice and was topped with fried plantain and sesame seeds.
It comes with a dollop of spicy mayo on top, but I opted for a drizzle of the sweet sauce, which offered a unique flavor.
I recommend their fried dumplings with Shitaki mushrooms and vegetables. They were delicious despite being meatless.

BURGERFI
I was happy when I came across Burgerfi Restaurant on Pompano Boulevard. Several years go I visited the one in Fort Lauderdale.
Their burgers may be one of the best burgers you will probably ever eat. So this is why I am recommending it again.
Their Angus beef burgers are juicy and don't miss out on their infamous onion rings.
If you are Vegan, don't worry. They offer vegan burgers for those who don't eat meat.

If you’re looking for a sweet pleasure, Kilwins’ ice-cream, fudge, and chocolate will not disappoint.
Their pralines and cream ice cream are delectable. Before you buy, try their free sample caramel fudge and other ice-cream flavors to see which one is ideal for your taste buds.

Briny Irish Pub is also located in Pompano Beach.
I have walked by but never visited this restaurant. But I thought I would share it with anyone who might be interested. Go HERE for additional details.

Ihop Restaurant.
If you get hungry after your flight and need to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the IHOP Restaurant is just a 10-minute drive from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport.
It’s one of my favorite fast-food joints. If you haven’t already read my Ihop review, you may do so HERE.
IHOP serves some really good omelets. Their pancakes are over the top. So, if you are on a diet, their pancakes are not for you.
This New York-style cheesecake pancake with strawberry topping I ordered was a hit.

There are several accommodations in Pompano and neighboring cities. Here a three of my recommendations below.
I stayed at the Ebb Tides Resort in Pompano Beach. I booked it through EXPEDIA TRAVEL. To learn more bout Expedia vacation packages, click HERE.
Despite a few upgrades that are needed in the room I stayed and on the premises, the Ebb Tides Resort is a beautiful beachfront retreat nestled in the heart of Pompano Beach, Florida.
Situated just steps away from the relaxing shores of the Atlantic Ocean, Ebb Tides Resort offers a perfect mix of tranquility, pool relaxation, easy access to the beach, and the area’s top attractions and restaurants.
Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a peaceful escape, this charming resort provides a welcoming atmosphere and a range of amenities to ensure an unforgettable stay.

I stayed at the Ocean Manor Beachfront Resort a few years ago. I had a great time during my visit. The pool that leads to the white sand beach is stunning.
This resort is roughly a 9-minute drive from Ebb Tide Resort in Pompano Beach.
To discover more about the resort. You can get there by clicking HERE.
Here is another of my recommendations. I also stayed at the Ocean Sky Beachfront Hotel in Fort Lauderdale a few years ago.
I liked that there was a pool and that getting to the white sand beach was simple.
Most hotel rooms have a balcony where you can relax and enjoy the ocean view while basking in the sea breeze.
Ocean Sky Resort is approximately a 9-minute drive away from the Pompano Beach Area.
