Why Vacation in Myrtle Beach SC?
Enjoy some you-time at the SUN N SAND Oceanfront Resort with affordable rates. The hotel is centrally located in Myrtle Beach and is walking distance to the fun filled amusement parks and many amazing restaurants.
If you are vacationing with a large family and need a home away from home, then there are AirBnB housing available for rental. However, most Airbnbs are further away from beachfront access compared to the hotel resorts.
There are many oceanfront apartments that are rented on Airbnb. But, wherever you choose as your living accommodation, does not really matter. Let’s face it, about 90-95% of the time on vacation is spent outdoors most days. For me, easy access to the beach, restaurants, fun activities and nightlife is key when on vacation. I love to be able to walk from my hotel down the street to a restaurant or walk onto the beach.

Private Access To The Beach
Leave directly from the pool through a private access and in seconds your feet are on the sandy beach basking in the sun and cleansing your soul from the salty waves of the ocean.
Myrtle Beaches, in my opinion, does not have the best beaches, but they are enough to take your spirit to an never ending bliss and relaxation.
If you are looking for an adrenaline rush, then get wet having fun Jet Skiing or Parasailing.
Myrtle Beach Family Kingdom Amusement Park.
Where Your Inner Child Is Unleashed
The Family Kingdom Amusement Park is few minutes walking from the Sun N Sand Resort. The park offers a number of rides that everyone can enjoy; from the kiddies to the elderly.
The Family Kingdom also has a oceanfront water park called Splashes that the entire family can enjoy.
The Myrtle Beach SkyWheel is an iconic landmark by the Family Kingdom park. The wheel takes you about 200 feet above the ocean and leaves you with breath taking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
At nights, the wheel showcases an amazing display of changing LED lights; it will leave you with an experience of a lifetime.
Broadway At The Beach
Broadway At The Beach is an entertainment landmark and shopping center with several different zones such as the Celebrity Square and the Caribbean Village.
Each zone houses unique attractions and entertainment such as Myrtle Beach Pavilion Amusement Park, The Hollywood Wax Museum, Wonder Works and even an AMC Movie Theater.
Celebrity Square and Caribbean Village are home to a number of really good restaurants/bar and night life.
In addition, this tourist attraction is only 13 minutes drive from the Sun N Sand Resort.
Vacation In Myrtle Beach. Where Travel and Food Connect.
Food and Travel is like a horse and carriage; you cant have one without the other. Exploring the food culture of a geographic location is inevitable when on vacation. Below are a few recommended restaurants that I think you will enjoy.
IHOP
Myrtle Beach, SC.
IHOP Restaurant in Myrtle Beach is your go place for breakfast, even though they have other menu options besides eggs and pancakes. Check out my other blog Exploring Ihop’s Breakfast Pancake Menu for more details.
The Waffle House Myrtle Beach SC.
The Waffle House is one of those restaurants that is predominantly found in the southern states. As the name suggest, they specialize in breakfast menu that includes waffles. The waffles were really good; very crunchy on the outside, but buttery soft on the inside.
This was my first time visiting The Waffle House. Compared to NYC, the customer service from the staff at the restaurants I have visited in the south are exceptional. Maybe is just the southern hospitality spirit.
Wet Willies, Myrtle Beach
Wet Willies is your go to place for an alcohol infused slushy. There are so many different flavors to choose. My favorite flavors to mix are “Call-A-Cab” and “Mango”. I have been to South Beach several times. My first stop is Wet Willies.
However, wet willies is a restaurant that has a full menu. They serve one of the best burgers, fries and chicken wings.
At this particular location, was where I had deep fried pickles. It was an interesting taste, but not really a fan.
Myrtle Beach Joe's Crab Shack
If you a big fan of seafood, then Joe’s Crab Shack is your go to restaurant. It is located in the Celebrity Square.
The restaurant has one of the most interesting, but weird ambiance I have seen. I highly recommend that you try their coconut shrimp.
Rooster's Restaurant & Bar
Another Celebrity Circle dining place is their Roosters Restaurant and Bar. This restaurant is what i call a one-stop-shop. Their menu is very diverse. The restaurant’s drinks cocktail are wildly cheap, especially during their happy hours.
The first thing that comes to mind when I hear the name Friendly’s is ice-cream. Not sure if the Friendly’s ice-cream brand is a franchise of the Friendly’s Restaurant.
One thing I can tell you about the restaurant is that you get your money’s worth. The portion size of their meals are twice the size compared to other restaurants. They also carry a wide selection of different flavored ice-creams. Moreover, the restaurant is within walking distance from the resort.
